It's no accident that the text on this hat is backwards and upside down.
Jesus' way was just that. It appears to be upside down and backward to us in this world. The way Jesus lived was counter-cultural, against the grain of society. He didn't come as a king to rule over people, but to serve under them and to elevate them. The God of the universe, our very creator, made himself into his creation. He came as a vulnerable baby who grew into a man. A human, fully man and fully God, then to die so that he could defeat death. Jesus had to become just like the very creature that began the separation between God and humanity to reconcile us to him. What an amazing, gracious, and loving God. There is no one like him.
