Hebrews 6:19 states that believers have a hope that is a "sure and steadfast anchor for the soul". This hope is so firm it can enter "into the inner sanctuary behind the curtain," a place representing God's presence. The verse connects this hope to Jesus, who has already entered this holy place on behalf of believers as a forerunner and a high priest.
